This page is for Instagram feed videos and IGTV — URLs that contain /p/ with a video post or /tv/ for longer uploads. Paste a public link, preview the clip, and save the MP4 Instagram exposes for that post.
Reels use a different URL shape (/reel/). If you copied a Reel link, open the Reels downloader instead so you get the right preview and quality notes.

How to download — step by step

Copy the video URL
Open the feed video or IGTV post, tap Share → Copy link. IGTV links contain /tv/; feed videos use /p/.

Review the preview, then save. On mobile, check Downloads or Photos depending on your browser.
Feed video vs Reels — which link do you have?
Reels almost always share as instagram.com/reel/… — use the Reels downloader for those. Feed videos and IGTV share as /p/… or /tv/… and often have different aspect ratios and encoding.
If you are unsure, paste the link here anyway — the preview tells you quickly whether you fetched the right clip. Wrong tool? Switch to Reels, Photo, or Carousel based on what you see.
URL types this page covers
/p/… — A feed post that plays as video (not a single still image or multi-slide carousel). /tv/… — Legacy IGTV or longer public video when Instagram still serves a stream.
/reel/… — Open the Reels page instead. Asave does not treat Reels and feed video as interchangeable even when the same clip appears in both places.
Feed video quality and file size
Quality matches Instagram's public encode — often 720p or 1080p, not guaranteed 4K. Soft uploads stay soft; we do not upscale.
Longer clips produce larger MP4 files. Use Wi‑Fi when saving IGTV-length video on mobile so downloads finish reliably.
Copyright and reposting
Downloaded video belongs to its creator unless you own it or have a license. Personal offline reference is different from republishing.
