Asave is a browser tool for saving public Instagram media you already have a share link for. Paste the URL, preview the file, then keep it on your device — no app store install and no Instagram password.

No. Asave never asks for credentials. If Instagram requires a login to view a post in your browser, Asave cannot fetch it either.

Saving a public file for personal offline use is a common need, but the content still belongs to its creator. Do not repost or sell someone else's work without permission. Read our Terms and copyright guide for details.

Common causes: private account, deleted post, incomplete URL, unsupported story/highlight link, age-restricted media, or temporary rate limits. Open the link in a private browser window first — if Instagram blocks you there, we will too.

Preview and download stay free. About 20 post lookups and 60 media downloads per day per connection are allowed under fair-use limits. Optional ads may appear after you accept cookies.

Open the clip in Instagram, choose Share → Copy link, paste it into Asave, and tap Download. Feed videos and IGTV use the video tool; Reels use the dedicated Reels page.

Copy a link that contains /reel/, paste it on the Reels downloader page or Reels tab, preview the clip, then save the MP4.

Use a /p/ link for a single-image post on the Photos page. If the post has multiple slides, switch to the Carousel page instead.

Paste the album's /p/ URL on the Carousel page, load the preview, then download each slide you need from the slide viewer.

Paste a public Reel or reels/audio link on the Audio page. After the preview loads, tap Download audio when the control appears.

Asave does not stamp branding onto your files. You receive the same public stream Instagram exposes for that URL.

Most Instagram uploads are compressed for mobile streaming. Expect 720p or 1080p far more often than true 4K — check the preview rather than assuming ultra-high definition.

Quality mirrors Instagram's public encode for that link. We do not invent sharper pixels or upscale files.

No. The tool only works when a post is openly reachable without a session cookie.

No. Story and highlight URLs are not supported. If the same clip exists as a public reel or post, use that link instead.

Yes. Chrome or Safari on Android and iPhone can complete the paste-and-preview flow without installing an APK or App Store app.

Yes — desktop browsers use the same workflow. Larger screens make checking framing and sharpness easier before you save.

Use up-to-date Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. If a preview stalls, refresh once or try a private window.

Paste an instagram.com/tv/… URL on the video downloader page when Instagram still serves a public stream for that link.

Confirm you pasted a full instagram.com address. Reload once, switch networks if the CDN is slow, and pause aggressive blockers only long enough to test.

Passwords are never requested. Media is fetched temporarily so you can preview and save; we do not host a permanent archive of your files.

Traffic runs over HTTPS in your browser. Avoid pasting obscure shortened links from strangers.

Once a file is in your gallery or downloads folder, playback no longer needs Asave. Fetching new items requires connectivity.
