Asave does not currently support Instagram story or highlight URLs. If you paste a stories/highlights link, the tool returns an error by design.
When the same clip exists as a public reel or feed post, copy that share link instead and use the Reels or Video downloader. Those formats work with a normal paste-and-preview flow.

How to download — step by step

Find a public post or reel link
If the creator shared the clip as a reel or feed post, copy that URL from Share → Copy link.

Open the right tool page
Use Reels for /reel/ links, Video for feed/IGTV, Photo or Carousel for /p/ posts.

Paste and preview
Paste on the matching page, preview, then save if the quality looks right.
Why stories are not supported
Instagram story and highlight media usually requires an authenticated session. Asave only fetches URLs that work in a logged-out browser, so story links are out of scope.
This keeps the tool honest and avoids promising downloads that fail for most users.

Public reels: instagram.com/reel/… on the Reels downloader. Feed video or IGTV: /p/ or /tv/ on the Video page. Photos and albums: Photo or Carousel pages.
